Lead projects or work streams, provide technical leadership
Partner with architecture and technical team to determine the best technical solution to meet the business needs. Translate the business requirements into technical design. Make tactical vs. strategic trade-offs.
Communicate progress and status of the initiatives, identify dependencies, remove impediments
Be accountable for your work and sometimes others, provide process and standards advice in your area of specialization
Serve as a resource and mentor for colleagues with less experience
Hands on development of new applications, as well as modernization of legacy applications.
Design and build an AWS-based application suite for the Legal & Compliance Technology group
Designs and develops practical APIs and abstractions.
Leading code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others’ designs/code
Qualifications:
8+ years of hands-on programming experience with Java8 and above.
5+ years of hands-on programming experience with Spring AOP and Spring boot.
5+ years leading software engineering teams, providing technical expertise.
Legal Technology and/or Regulatory project management experience, leading a development team
Fluent with database operations related to at least one database platform (Oracle/MySQL, SQL server preferred)
Programming experience with AWS SDK and familiarity with popular AWS products
Git, CI/CD based SDLC
Cloud-based dev ops (AWS Lambda functions)
Containerization (e.g. Docker)
Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
Experience with Snowflake data warehouse (preferred)
