We are looking for an SQL Performance Engineer who has a track record of writing and rewriting complex stored procedures, as well as adding and removing indexes and statistics to improve overall performance of databases and applications.  You will be focused on improving the performance of an existing application.

The SQL Performance Engineer must have the ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent engineering skills. Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus. Must be able to work independently and make suggestions on how to improve the application database. Strong analytic capability, the ability to create innovative solutions, and be able to work with stakeholders to solve performance issues.


PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Production SQL performance enhancements
• Cleanup of indexes and statistics
• Stored Procedure rebuilding for performance
• Recommendations on other improvements

Required

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years of professional SQL Server experience
• 3+ years of SQL Server performance enhancement
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
