Description:
1. Supportsthe installation of database software and migrations to new data managementsystem software levels, and tests the migrations to ensure data reliability andfunctionality.
2. Analyzes,designs, modifies, and maintains database structures.
3. Designsand implements procedures necessary to save, retrieve, and recover databasesfrom hardware and software failures.
4. Establishesand implements database security controls and user access levels.
5. Evaluatesand recommends database software packages for potential acquisition.
6. Preparesand develops database documentation, procedures, and definitions for data
7. dictionaries.
8. Performslogical and physical data modeling, designs relational database models, andcreates physical data models from logical data models.
9. Performsdatabase performance monitoring and implements efficiency improvements.
10. Assistsin modifying existing databases and database management systems.
11. Assistsin developing standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures designed toensure the integrity of the database environment
