- Serve as primary customer liaison for all implementation related tasks. This includes overseeing requirements gathering, working with customer technical leadership on technical requirements and issue and architecting the project roadmap.
- Perform and oversee the performance of all facets of the Project Management lifecycle including requirements gathering, staff management, budget management, issue and risk mitigation, and status reporting.
- Serve as the technical expert on IT Projects, providing leadership to Team members and solving complex technical problems as they arise.
- Mentor colleagues and Project Team members and assist in continued development of best practices and employee development.
- Define performance goals for project teams or work units and provide technical guidance and direction to personnel to ensure proper completion of work.
- Monitor project, checking actual performance against planned performance to ensure technical, schedule, and budget goals are met or exceeded.
- Collect inputs and prepare weekly and monthly status reports as required.
- Explain any deviations from planned budgets and schedules and prepare and support quarterly management reviews.
- Develop strong customer relationships as a trusted advisor at project management, payroll manager, and senior management levels.
Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in an Engineering discipline and 8 years of experience as an IT project manager. This experience must include working with the following:
- Enterprise level project deployments (multi-work stream) including managing an implementation team and multinational implementations;
- Implementation projects in the workforce management domain;
- Designing and developing IT governance frameworks;
- Product migration and upgrade projects involving ERP, PLM and CRM in Oracle and SAP;
- Driving complex, enterprise wide projects (ERP Migration, Upgrades, Business Intelligence, Cloud Integration, Business Process Automation etc.) with focus on technical requirements of the project;
- Project planning tools (MS Project etc.) for project planning, tracking/reporting with quantitative KPI’s, Earned Value Management – Schedule Variance and Cost variance; and
- Waterfall and Iterative methodologies (Agile, Scrum etc.) and ability to adapt to hybrid methodologies based on project needs.
