The primary responsibility for this role would be to take on C# development as part of the Breeding Analytics software development team. The candidate would also work with an analyst on enhancing new/existing applications and batch processes (C#).

The candidate must have experience with unit testing/type mocking, working with Git or other distributed version control system, with relational databases and the ability to write SQL statements.

Bonus:

It would be preferred but not required for the candidate to have experience designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions and working with C++, Python, Bash.

            Are we looking for AWS or Azure cloud experience?

Both would be ideal, but AWS would work as well. We do not work directly in AWS, was have a DevOps team that provides Cloud formation templates and other support related to enabling developers in our AWS environment. Our Azure environment is similar to a degree and is controlled by the Corteva IT function (FSD is in Corteva R&D).

           Are we be looking for candidates coming from the infrastructure side?

No, we are not looking for an infrastructure specialist, we are looking for talented programmers that can perform DevOps tasks. 

·         Launch Suite, Launch Batch, Run and Maintain, Dev Ops.

·         Work with analysts and (or) peer developers to develop applications.

·         Collaborate with biostatisticians to implement statistical models in applications.

·         Work with the architect to conduct architectural reviews for project work.

·         Work with other team members to brainstorm, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application and platform development with guidance from the architect.

·         Perform run and maintain tasks on the applications or platforms as needed.

·         Proficient In: C#(.NET/.NET Core)

·         Experience with unit testing/type mocking.

·         Experience with Git or other distributed version control system (DVCS).

·         Experience working with relational  databases and the ability to write SQL statements.

·         Proven ability to learn and apply innovative technologies, programming techniques and languages.

·         Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills and a desire to use them in a team environment.
