The UI/UX Developer will have ownership and accountability to design, develop, test, and implement software for the clients website. Consultant to support the clients Information Technology department and collaborate with external party partners, agency, IT Managers, Analysts, and our Marketing teams.
Responsibilities include utilization of front-end frameworks, as well as helping define standards, best practices and processes also taking a consultative approach as a knowledge expert and a resource for the team to learn from. Activity ownership will start from receipt of requirements including UI/UX wireframes, architectural design, development, coordination of events, tracking issues / risks, milestones, meeting facilitation, testing coordination including integration testing within client's and with external partners, and release management.
Consultant will create wireframes and HTML, implement front-end framework, and work collaboratively with back-end developers to integrate the UI components with back-end API. Functions include:
- Software design, development, and the implementation of Ul/UX software projects.
- Working with the clients IT Leads to discuss, document, and test the functional process flows and improvements as they relate to the website Redesign and related applications.
- Gathering requirements and document technical solutions using client IT standard methodologies.
- Ensuring quality by coordinating functional and user acceptance tests in a timely fashion.
- Working to bridge the gap of current and future state needs for the organization.
Required Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience developing web and digital platforms (HTML5, JS, CSS) (Required)
- Experience with modern Javascript ecosystem: ES6+, Node, NPM, Webpack, etc. (Required)
- Advanced knowledge of CSS and CSS pre/pos -processing techniques (SASS, LESS, tailwind, etc) (Required)
- Experience with reactive UI libraries such as Vue.js, Angular, etc. (Required)
- Experience with Mobile first and responsive design (Required)
- Ability to analyze, design, code, inspect, debug, and test the user interface (Required)
- Experience prototyping/wireframe rich interactions quickly with the focus on user experience (Required)
- Experience creating design from Photoshop (Recommended)
- Experience in Java, AJAX, XML, HTTP, Web Services (REST/SOAP) (Required)
- Working knowledge of Spring framework (Nice to have)
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or other CMS platforms (Nice to have)

- Communication – able to communicate in a clear concise and logical manner when both speaking and writing; capable to manage business and technical team expectations.
- Leadership – capable to execute code reviews and provide technical direction to IT Leads.
