Responsibilities

Client is in immediate need for a data architect with cloud platform expertise. Initial focus will be on architecture design patterns and architecture development for a significant data platform modernization effort. Candidates must be design focused and adept at evaluating platform needs by understanding existing and future data producers through to data consumption perspectives with the ability to provide sufficient technical detail to inform downstream build projects. The data architect will work closely with internal and external architects along with key business (including highly technical) stakeholders to achieve goals. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

5-7 years experience in developing and elaboration of data architectures

5-7 years experience developing reference architectures, design patterns and exposing technical details to inform technical stakeholders and projects

5-7 years experienced and skilled in defining data architecture roadmaps to inform implementation plans

5-7 years experience and skilled in an advisory and guidance role around Azure data platforms and related services to meet defined business purposes, capturing and documenting architectural requirements, technical research and development.

5-7 years knowledge of data hub and data lake architectures and concepts

5-7 years experience working with and gathering information from Business subject matter experts and including those perspective and concerns in the solutions.

5-7 years experience advising and collaborating closely with infrastructure and security teams to determine interdependencies and coordinate/execute activities

5-7 years experience working and collaborating with IT development teams and business data analytics teams responsible for delivering business solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

5-7 years of data engineering: Hands-on experience with big data solutions on Azure and delivering data pipelines
