JOB DETAIL

  • High level proficiency in Talend ETL product; exposure to additional ETL products such as Informatica, Pentaho (Kettle), etc. is a plus
  • High level proficiency in working with multiple file formats including EDI (preferably in handling healthcare related files, particularly the 834 file format), CSV files, Fixed Length files, JSON files, XML files, etc. including accessing data through REST APIs leveraging inbuilt Talend capabilities to manage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of administering and configuring projects, jobs, user roles, etc. in Talend Management Console.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of administering Remote Engine (RE) and RE Clusters for managing performance and failover, including managing upgrades, and ability to troubleshoot and resolve as issues arise.
  • Strong experience working with Talend REST APIs, developing and maintain Jenkins / Spinnaker pipelines, bash scripts, git repositories, etc.
  • Strong experience in design the overall batch processing solution and taking it all the way into production including providing post-production support
  • At least 2 years of leading a small team of 2-3 ETL developers
  • Experience in designing the overall solution and taking it all the way into production including post-production support
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of best practices in Talend, DB architectures, for building optimal jobs for processing large data volumes with high performance needs.
  • Should have worked with highly complex data migration projects
  • Good exposure with Java and REST APIs
  • Design, Build, test, deploy and maintain end-to-end ETL solutions
  • Continuously optimize, enhance, monitor, support and maintain all data integration processes.
  • Analyse data, design and build databases tables to capture all data elements, and load data, while maintaining data lineage and operational tracking.
  • Maintain documentation, manage source code and deployments, and implement best-practices
  • Experience in building scalable systems
  • Eagerness to learn and demonstrates strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to be a guide to a small but growing team of globally distributed remote ETL team members, perform solution and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, etc.

 

Good to have

  • Experience with cloud (preferably AWS) and microservices architectures, and multi-tenant solutions
  • Experience with architecting IT solutions (ETL solutions or Database architectures, or any other IT solution)
  • Familiar with CI/CD processes and best practices
  • Experience working in agile and devops delivery environments
  • Experience with Analysis, recommendations, and influence to overall strategy and roadmap to build data integration ecosystem and supporting toolsets
  • Design and build environments, framework and processes to acquire data from Healthcare clients/vendors in a secure and efficient manner
  • Set up processes to acquire data in structured/semi-structured format, and implement tools/processes to consume data received, as a batch process or real-time
  • Focus on streamlining and improving data integration efficiencies, reducing effort related to development and support, while providing security, flexibility and scalability
  • Advanced skill level in SQL, data integration, data modelling and data architecture skills
  • Advanced knowledge of physical database design and data structures
