JOB DETAIL

 

Homesite is looking for a Project Manager for the Partner Services Team. They will be responsible for managing IT projects that across multiple teams and technologies. A successful project manager will be comfortable working within tight timelines, collaborating with others to translate strategic objectives into actionable work packages, and shepherding delivery teams through feature development and delivery. They will report to the Manager of Partner IT Program Management, and work closely with counterparts in product management, to shepherd delivery teams through feature development and delivery. 

 

RESPONSIBILITES: 

  • Manage cross functional IT and business team efforts collimating in project delivery success. 
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Ensure business success by understanding business goals and maintaining delivery commitments. 
  • Pro-actively identify and mitigate project risks. 
  • Develop and maintain delivery plans to ensure alignment and communicate progress. 
  • Maintain clear communication with senior leadership and other team members. 
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. 
  • Leverage industry best practices contributing to delivery process improvements. 

 

SKILLS

  • Experience collaborating with business teams to articulate requirements that can be used by delivery teams for test driven development. 
  • Experience managing IT projects and schedules within a software development lifecycle. 
  • Experience with project managing long term, time-sensitive projects and competing projects in a dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent internal written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to define and mature processes. 
  • Experienced “Change-Agent” able to design and promote adoption of contemporary IT best practices. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, JIRA, Jira Plans, Confluence, Agile methodology. 

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering. 
  • 5+ years of experience as a project management in the information technology sector. 
  • 5+ years directing a SCRUM team with demonstrated results. 
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry would be a plus.
