Business Analyst IV
Our client is seeking a highly strategic, quantitative, process and detail-oriented Analyst to join their Business Planning and Operations team. The mission of the Business Planning and Operations group is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the sales organization. This person will partner effectively with leadership across their Global Marketing Solutions organization and will work cross-functionally with several teams with the objective of enabling leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, interested in advertising, a strategic thinker, highly analytical, an excellent problem solver, a fast learner, and able think strategically. The candidate will have strong technical acumen and experience managing cross-functional work streams and stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive operational reviews and rhythm of the business, leading business analysis including revenue, customer and market analysis
- Improve operational excellence through identification and execution of initiatives that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business. This includes identifying ways in which tools can be built and deployed to improve workflows
- Build partnerships with North America Sales leadership and broader BPO teams on analytical initiatives
- Translate global guidance to regional level and help drive alignment
- Focus on process and continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement
- Conduct insightful analysis using internal and external data (e.g. revenue, product, market, industry, trends) to derive insights that will drive business decisions
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, business planning, analysis and business performance KPIs
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.
- Strong ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
- Strong ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
- 4+ years of work experience in Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Business Planning, or Strategy consulting, or 2+ years of experience with a Masters degree
- Demonstrated problem solving experience, with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets
- Experience with end-to-end execution of projects
- Stakeholder management experience, including managing multiple partners simultaneously
- Advanced spreadsheet and presentation software skills. Experienced in using Excel spreadsheets for running data analysis and building quantitative models with complexity for business decision making. Experience with, as typically seen in, but not restricted to, pivot table based reporting, using charts for visualization and use of lookup and math functions.
