•    Use SQL to validate data, explore data structures and compare against the structures in the source systems.
•    Determine where it is better to make the integrations and mappings changes, e.g. in DataStage or in Cerner.
•    Generally the preferred direction is to do the mapping in DataStage unless the developer proposes an overriding reason it should be done in Cerner.

Key software/skills
•    SQL (typical querying using joins, case statements, etc)
•    Ability to quickly understand complex data models with a large number of fact and dimension tables
