JD: There will be a large data migration exercise from the legacy system to the new system. We are looking for a business analyst who could help in defining the requirements for Data migration and integration. The responsibilities include the following:
• Experience in media/broadcast domain is a must
• An eye for detail, ability to process and analyse data quickly, and communicating effectively with different teams
• Ability to map the data from various modules of the source to target system with definition of business rules where there is a data transformation require.
• Ability to reverse map the data flow from the new system to the source system where ever necessary.
• Devise a day to day or a weekly plan of the migration exercise across the Rights, finance, scheduling, asset management, content inventory etc
• Ability to think through the big picture in terms of data integrations across various systems which may impact the day to day business and work accordingly in defining the requirements
• Drive relevant anomaly detection analyses and work on with the business migrate the same to the target system
• Help with the interface specification document in terms of the source to target interface definition across various integrations
• Hands-on experience in data analysis (descriptive), visualization and data pre-processing
• Excellent analytical thinking, and problem solving skills - Experience in handling client communications
• Experience in creation of User stories/ documents/design specs where ever necessary which could be consumed by various development team
• Prior experience in data migrations for media/broadcasting industry
• Excellent communication (written/verbal) skills, including logically structuring and delivering presentations.
