This position serves as a Senior-LevelApplication Developer within WSDOT with specialized knowledge, experience andexpertise in developing software application projects in a fluid and dynamicenvironment.

 

 

 

7 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR ALL DUTIESBELOW:

 

Specific duties include: Workindependently or as a member of a WSDOT IT project teams to:

 

• Perform analysis, design, development,testing and implementation of software using C#, WPF, and related technologies.

 

• Write and troubleshoot SQL Scripts.

 

• Generate XML files

 

• Communicate with web services to sendand receive data.

 

• Develop Reports in SQL ReportingServices.

 

• Obtain an understanding of key businessneeds and work directly with end users to create effective solutions.

 

• Elicit, understand, and document complexbusiness processes and translate them into solutions.

 

• Interact and consult with senior andmidlevel managers of WSDOT business units, as well as key Subject MatterExperts.

 

• Exercise excellent communication skillsfor communicating various system issues and meeting the customer’s expectations.

 

• Participate in workshop/interviewmeetings with business/application owners and end users

 

• Effectively manage time to assurecommitments are met on time.

 

• Implement application integration of.NET environments and third-party tools.

 

• Employ source code repository check-inprocesses.

 

• Employ a strong team-oriented focus

It would be desirable for thecontractor to have demonstrated skills and knowledge in the following areas:

 

a) Minimum 2 years’ experience in the last8 years with SQL Server 2014 or higher.

 

b) Minimum 2 years’ experience in the last8 years with ASP.NET

 

c) Minimum 2 years’ experience in the last8 years with TFS or Azure DevOps (Git Control)

 

d) Minimum 2 years’ experience in the last8 years with Visual Studio 2017 or later.

 

e) Minimum 2 years’ experience in the last8 years with DevExpress controls for .NET f) Experience developing webapplications using Blazor
