They just need to be sure the person is engaged and committed for the duration of the project. They are currently in the process of overhauling their Android app in its entirety and looking for someone to help build a best-in-class native application.
They will work closely with the iOS Engineer to create a similar experience. The current app is a "webview app" and moving to a native build for Android.
If we have anyone that has done something similar for SNAP, Twitter or Media related that is a great fit, but understands that may be challenging to find.
They are an early stage start-up with private funding, and moving towards Series-A funding. The message they are trying to send is that they are creating a forum for those that are tired of arbitrary censorship online as well as the Big Tech construct.
Must haves:
* Experinece building a full native Android app (ideally samples or work, or app in appstore)
* 6+ years of Android Development
* Expert level Java or Kotlin experience
* Advanced knowledge in design, development and implementation in the Android software platform and relevant SDKs
* Deep understanding of Dependency Injection
* Expert knowledge of HTTP and API consumption
* 2+ years experience with Unit Testing
* Excellent understanding of Clean Architecture and design patterns with the ability to apply them successfully to real-life problems
* Excellent experience working with Co-Routines for asynchronous operations
* 2+ years’ experience with Architectural design patterns such as MVVM or MVP
* Intermediate knowledge of Android’s architectural components
* MUST HAVE Excellent communication skills
Nice to haves:
* 2+ years’ experience building multi-module architectures
* 2+ years’ experience with Audio/Video applications for Android
* Intermediate knowledge of Continuous Integration
