For this role, we want to stress UNIX/Linux system administration skills.
The candidate should possess significant skills with Solaris, Oracle/Sun Hardware, patching, shell scripting, and preferably have experience with Oracle’s engineered systems (Exadata, Super Cluster, ZFS, ODA’s).
The candidate should be familiar with automating tasks via shell scripting (bash, ksh, and perl or python).
Experience with cloud is beneficial but not required.
The candidate would be working with on-prem systems that support applications and database servers primarily.
They’d need to manage patching and security vulnerability remediation for Solaris and Linux servers.
Experience with using and coding for Puppet is a plus (or similar tools like Ansible).
