- A senior oracle database administrator is responsible for managing and supporting database platforms,
- working closely with the vendors, external consultants, application support teams, technical support team, and oracle database administrators.
- recognizing areas for improvement in the team.
- Taking appropriate action to initiate changes.
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining database instances; Recommending and implementing database security policies.
- Recommending and implementing database backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies.
- Implementing automated monitoring to ensure proactive handing of issues.
- Working independently to perform database performance analysis,
- Capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance.
- Recommending best practices and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor,
- 19C upgrades, RAC , Dataguard , Grid , Golden gate, RMAN & AWS experience.
- Administration and configuration of Exadata machine components including Cell server, Infiniband switch, Cisco switch, PDU, KVM.
- Hands on experience in patching and upgrade of Cell server, Compute node, grid, database, Infiniband switch, Cisco switch in Exadata/RAC environment.
- Configuring the monitoring the cell server thresholds and troubleshooting the cell server. InfiniBand switch, Cisco switch RAC interconnect issues.
- Exposure with cell server “cellcli” commands addition and deletion of disks on cell server
- Experience in troubleshooting network and I/O related issues in the Exadata
- In depth knowledge of performance tuning in Exadata using Smart Scan, Storage Index, HCC,IORM, Flash Cache etc.,
- Experience in configuring Database backup and recovery using RMAN and recovery for databases in TBs.
- Database Patching
- SQL Server Knowledge on Basic troubleshooting
