The UX/UI Designer is proficient at user research, interaction design and visual design. The individual will collaborate directly with UX Leadership, Product Management, business stakeholders, Engineering teams, and end users, to clearly identify business objectives and user needs, and create scalable design solutions.
The UX/UI Designer will leverage a deep knowledge of user-centered design processes and methodology to create optimal user experiences. They will conduct user research, conceptualize innovative solutions, create user workflows and wireframes/mockups, and more, to identify and meet or exceed the needs of end users and business stakeholders. As a valued member of the UX team, the individual will use their skills and insights in a collaborative, agile environment to deliver great user experiences across our products and platforms. Strong communication and presentation skills are a must.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of user-centered design processes and methodologies.
- Experience defining and designing responsive web applications for enterprise platforms:
- User Research: conducting user interviews and observations, creating surveys and usability studies, as well as creating personas, journey maps, and empathy maps to reflect research findings and opportunities.
- Information Architecture: defining information architectures, navigation schemas, search schemas and user workflows.
- Interaction Design: defining mental models, and creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes.
- Visual Design: designing high-fidelity mockups, creating clickable prototypes and design specifications, with a basic understanding of HTML/CSS to collaborate with front-end developers to bring designs to life.
- Usability Testing: creating test scripts, facilitating usability tests, collecting feedback and translating findings into user insights and design recommendations.
- Knowledge of analysis to conduct competitive analysis, market assessments and heuristic evaluations.
- Knowledge of web analytics and leveraging user feedback to inform infrastructure changes and design improvements.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience in an agile, fast-paced web software development environment, with an ability to execute against dynamic priorities and aggressive, but realistic, timelines.
- High-energy, enthusiastic, and eager to do what is necessary to be successful.
- Highly creative and inquisitive.
- Passionate and interested in staying apprised of the latest user and customer experience best practices and trends.
- Must have an online portfolio to be considered.
- Agency work experience is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors in Information Design, Human-Centered Design, Industrial Design, Psychology, Graphic Design, Computer Science or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience
Software & Tools:
- Experience in Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Sketch
- Experience with usability testing tools
