Role: Sr. Python Developer

Location: Hawaii, Honolulu

Duration: Long Term Contract

Technical/Functional Skills               

• Experience in Airline domain to better understand and coordinate with Business stakeholders to gather requirements

• Expertise in Python, with good knowledge of Python web framework (such as Django, Flask, etc.)

• Expertise in PyTest Testing Framework

• Good knowledge of Object Relation Mapping

• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Package Managers and installing various third-party libraries.

• Understanding of multi process architecture and threading limitations of Python

• Familiarity with event driven programming in Python

• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, NodeJS and jQuery libraries, and writing cross-browser compatible code.

• Knowledge and hands on experience with design & development of SPA (Single Page App) architecture

• Experience in designing, integrating, testing RESTful APIs, services.

• GitHub & other source control hands-on expertise (including integration/plugins used from IDEs, Visual Studio Code etc. to connect)

• Strong unit test and debugging skills

• Extensive knowledge in XML, JSON, YAML and other scripting languages

• Knowledge in databases and integration

• Basic knowledge in CI/CD pipelines, code packaging and deployment

• Basic knowledge on Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS

• Working experience in Agile Scrum methodology and collaborative teams.

Roles & Responsibilities    

• Write, configure and develop software and code-driven solutions according to user specifications using Python framework best practices.

• Decompose business requirements and translate them into detailed design specifications and code.

• Build solutions that utilize the enterprise monitoring/logging frameworks

• Analyze and resolve operational and production problems, including researching and recommending alternative actions for problem resolution and taking timely action

Adapting interface for modern internet applications using the latest front-end technologies.

• Conducting performance tests and multiple device compatibility tests.

• Ensuring high performance of applications and providing support for the applications when needed.

• Preparation and maintenance of training manuals and guides for users.

• Maintaining the systems once they are up and running.

• Working within a team to determine needs and applying / customizing existing technology to meet those needs.

• Document and communicate assigned work and progress to project team and management for daily reporting.

• Collaborate, learn, share the knowledge with peers
