JOB DETAIL

WCB is undertaking an initiative called its Business Process Reengineering (BPR) program.  BPR project will require a resource for .Net analysis, design, development, and testing/remediation over the next 2 years.  WCB has undertaken a very large project to replace its 20-year-old legacy Claims Information System and replace it with a modern application.  This application will have many integration points with existing technologies that will require .Net interfaces.  Finally, WCB projects with an immediate need for .Net development support are IMA, Provider Search, OnBoard Limited Release, and Payor Compliance.

The WCB requires a Senior Software Architect to design and help develop the software modules to develop these BPR initiatives.

Duties

  • Work with Project Management to meet objectives of BIS project integration with legacy systems.
  • Guide a module Development Team.
  • Guide design meetings and reviews.
  • Create/Architect shared services that may be utilized by other agencies when appropriate.
  • Create/Architect the technical environment that will be used to implement the legacy system integrations.
  • Guide code reviews.
  • Coordinate unit and integrated testing.
  • Enforce architectural, design, and coding standards.
  • Create system documentation.
  • Create technical specifications.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system
  • Experience (7+ Years)

Requirements

  • 60 months experience leading a development team of five or more developers.
  • 60 months experience creating and editing system documentation and technical specifications.
  • 60 months experience writing C# code in Visual Studio.
  • 60 Months experience using IIS Web Server.
  • 36 months experience using Team Foundation Server.
  • 60 months experience in design & deployment of complex SQL objects (including Stored Procedures) and relational databases design.
  • 48 months experience writing and designing applications using SOA.
  • 36 months experience writing and executing unit tests.
  • 24 months experience in developing user interfaces using a Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern
