JOB DETAIL

Knowledge of software testing processes, techniques, and standards

Knowledge of test planning processes, techniques, and standards, including automated test processes, techniques, and standards

Knowledge of Selenium test automation tool

Knowledge of .Net infrastructure

Proficiency in C#

Proficient with various Microsoft Windows operating systems

Experience using qTest or other tools for test planning

Some knowledge of SQL server and databases

A capacity to learn new software/procedures quickly

Have an ability to install new software without assistance

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

General troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities at one time, make independent decisions and sound judgment

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to learn quickly in order to work efficiently and meet deadlines

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

3-5 years experience in a technical position

Our client is searching for an Automation QA with C#/.Net experience to assure the quality of released products by designing and coding automated testing scripts. Creating test plans and test cases from requirements and design documents, as well as documenting test results, identifying trends, and escalating concerns as necessary. Able to work with minimal supervision.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure quality products are delivered for implementation by testing and verifying product functionality according to departmental policies and procedures
  • Interface with development, product management, and customers to determine business and functional requirements; ensure those requirements are testable
  • Participate in the creation of a level of effort for software requests
  • Develop and document automated test plans and automated test procedures
  • Design, create, and execute automation test cases
  • Apply, design, and enhance automation test framework
  • Document and maintain software revision history
  • Conduct software testing, including regression testing of new products/releases
  • Participate in the debug process by testing and troubleshooting
  • Document test results, create metrics, analyze trends, and escalate concerns as necessary
  • Identify, design and implement automation testing strategy/procedures with aim at streamlining and/or improving overall efficiency of the software engineering process
  • Identify and communicate design considerations and risk assessments with regards to testing defects
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal/external customers, team members and department contacts
  • Provide technical assistance and mentoring to other QA Analysts related to automation skills
  • Participate in the configuration and maintenance of test systems used by QA department
  • Other duties as required
