JOB DETAIL

As a member of the Workday platform team, this role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day system operations and maintains configuration, security administration, reporting and monitoring of data integrations. This is a hands-on position that supports the Student Functional Lead and requires knowledge in system implementations and technical administration and will support the deliverables that are prioritized by the Platform Manager, identify touch points across each functional area, and partner multiple offices and stakeholders across campus. 

Key Responsibilities

 

●     Partner and collaborate with appropriate campus stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues; coordinating, reviewing, testing, and implementing bugs, enhancements and Workday system upgrades and weekly patches. 

●     Lead support for support tickets and troubleshooting

●     Participate in initiatives by assisting with business requirement gathering, business process review, testing, training, documentation and configuration 

●     Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)  to recommend solutions by leveraging Workday and it’s delivered functionality and support ongoing business process changes

●     Assist in development of enhanced reports 

●     Gather and analyze data for potential efficiencies and risks

●     Help design, document and maintain system process

●     Responsible for maintaining proper security to protect confidential information by documenting security changes and test all security memberships 

●     Communicate key insights and findings 

●     Capture, clarify and translate business requirements and complex operational processes

●     Participate in the review of detailed technical designs

●     Participate in testing & training 

●     Develop test scenarios and instructions in partnership with the SMEs for semiannual releases 

Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Business/Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance
  • End to end implementation experience 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills with the ability to express technical concepts clearly and across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Motivated, independent learner with a passion for IT topics
  • Ability to determine task priorities and plan and manage those priorities to move a project forward to completion

●     Highly independent and takes initiative

 

Working Conditions:

  • May require occasional evening and/or weekend work

Additional Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • Prefer previous experience in student system implementations 
  • Prefer Workday certification
  • Scrum experience, a plus
