Develops, tests, and maintains standardized network and infrastructure troubleshooting and root cause analysis procedures specific to the company environment. Analyzes and evaluates network infrastructure for capacity and compatibility for business applications and data. Ensure quality processes and documentation are developed and followed to effectively create corporate intelligence and assist in efficient standard operating procedures.
Position Purpose
Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing operations and technical infrastructure necessary to support business processes and applications systems.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Manages infrastructure projects within the department.
- Research and recommend new technical solutions and infrastructure-related software for the organization.
- Manages resolution of infrastructure issues to minimize overall impact on the organization.
- Ensures that standards and procedures are followed during design and implementation of information systems.
- Responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance.
- Assist the Director in the development, implementation, and maintenance of all infrastructure policies.
- Assist/lead in various IT projects as required.
- Responsible for servicing 750+ end user points.
Training/Experience:
- Typically requires BS/BA in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
- Generally, 7+ years’ experience network infrastructure and security.
- Certification required – Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Preferred Certification – Security Plus.
