• We need PM to work in digital advertising, offering customers both media services and a Self-serve advertising platform
• A Program Management Office (PMO) manages a team of professional program Managers and project managers
• Most of our projects involve product feature and/or backend service development
• We also occasionally undertake business development projects which do not include Engineering work
• All of the projects with direct PMO involvement are either heavily cross-functional or high risk/mission critical
Daily Responsibilities:
• End-to-end project management, from project initiation through project retrospective
• Utilize existing PMO templates and frameworks to kick off projects, monitor project progress, and report project status
• Work closely with project teams to collect and translate project scope into coherent project plans, and maintain project plans to ensure that the project plan is the source of truth for project progress and metrics
• Facilitate project meetings, ensuring that proper notes are captured and action items recorded and assigned; follow up to ensure that action items are addressed in a timely manner
• Anticipate, collect, track, and follow up on project risks and issues to keep the team unblocked. Manage risk mitigations, escalating risks and issues as needed
• Collaborate with project teams to assist with project roadmapping including sizing of work efforts, to appropriately manage stakeholder expectations for feature delivery
• Facilitate communications with stakeholders to ensure both transparency and cooperative working relationships are established and maintained between engineering teams, impacted business partners, and program managers
• Collaborate with engineering leads, product managers, business partners, and PMO team members to manage dependencies
• Work as part of a program team, providing information including reporting to program managers
• Apply best practice PM methodologies that match specific project needs
• Balance internal and external resources across multiple projects
• Contribute project learnings where relevant to PMO’s knowledge repository
• Contribute artifact templates where appropriate to PMO’s template repository
Qualifications:
• Ability to rapidly collect data and move from concept to action, even with imperfect information. (A role model for how to get things done.)
• Outstanding ability to collaborate across teams and organizations
• Solid understanding of SDLC
• Proven analytical thinking, skills in metrics creation and project management, attention to details, and exceptional organizational skills
• Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms; equally adept in communicating upwards and downward
• Experience utilizing project management tools in a commercial setting
