• Understanding of backend/API testing and ability to write automated API tests using tools like Postman, SoapUI etc.
• MUST have hands on with open source Test Automation (Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, Test NG) Testing Automation with Web Apps, APIs, Message Queues, DBs Relational NOSQL Databases
• MUST be able to grasp new technologies as well as have a strong understanding of the following technologies concepts BDD Frameworks
• Mobile Application Testing Mobile Test Automation Log Aggregation Tools
• Cucumber, Rest Assured (or like), UFT, Ranorex, JMeter, LoadRunner, HP UFT- VBS scripting Selenium- Java coding experience Added Advantages
Experience Required 6-10 Years
• 4+ years of experience with testing/automation for large customer facing web applications.
• 3+ years of experience writing and executing manual test scripts
• 3+ years of experience working in an agile and continuous delivery environment.
• 4+ years of experience with Selenium or other similar web automation testing frameworks
• 3+ years of RESTful design patterns for API and experience with using tools to work with REST APIs.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Leading the product testing discipline on the team
• Ensure that the product quality is measured and monitored and is accountable for demonstrating measurable improvements
• Write clear and concise manual test scripts and execute them
• Communicate product quality and test results to different stakeholders
• Lead and mentor a team of QA testers and automation engineers
Generic Managerial Skills
• Conduct peer review sessions with other members of the QA Team
• Mentor less experienced testers with testing practices as well as Agile Scrum
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in an e-commerce/retail organization
• Understanding or exposure to the mobile domain is desirable
• Demonstrable Experience with Agile software tools such as JIRA
• Applied understanding of managing test data to improve and evolve testing, automation
• Demonstrated ability to mentor/teach new team members system functionality and assist in on-boarding.
• Respect and Collaborate in a fast-paced environment with different stakeholders including engineers, testers, product managers, and user experience leads
• Leads and Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and IPT (integration program testing). Debugs data issues between and within systems.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis to triage issues on various types of test data, including system logs
