A senior architect to lead software architecture across internal development teams. Reporting to the CTO, the role will provide technical leadership and coordination across development and maintenance of high availability, cloud-based systems supporting business while contributing to key areas of the platform.
HHCS is undergoing rapid growth and modernizing existing systems to improve scalability and performance while maintaining high availability. We are also investing in new approaches to maximize value in our business through ML and AI. You will play a key role evolving our architecture as well as working with specialist teams to evaluate progress and plan technology integration with existing systems.
Responsibilities
· Have performed multiple cloud migrations to native cloud architecture.
· Strong background in the MS stack especially Azure.
· Good domain background in predictive analytics, data strategy.
· Establishes Cloud Application Design best practices, templates, and processes
· Identify and Manage the development technologies across all development teams.
· Plan software architecture by studying concepts, strategy, and target audience.
· Research and set paths toward the use of new and developing technologies for Cloud Computing.
· Mentor, consult, train and interact with Systems Development Engineers, Software Architects, Product Management, Cloud and Delivery Admins and Ops team members to lead in the design of scalable infrastructure
· Influence Product Management and Cloud and Delivery teams in setting technical roadmap for Cloud Infrastructure, Application design, and automation in meeting the overall HHCS Cloud requirements
· Transition from Single Tenant applications to Multi-Tenant Applications
· Transform current development platforms into a cloud based (Azure), microservice architecture while supporting both systems
· Be accountable for defining and driving software architecture and enterprise capabilities (scalability, reliability, extensibility, maintainability, etc.)
· Create a unified process to be followed by different teams and use collaboration tools for effective communication
Typical Qualifications
10+ years of experience in software development with at least 5 years as an architect lead
Proven experience building, designing and deploying scalable apps using cloud platform technologies
Relational database expertise
Familiar with the SaaS, and cloud-based design models
Skilled at identifying and managing trade-offs between immediate needs and a long-term vision
Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience in the business technology market and expertise in working closely with varied teams in cloud computing or related technical fields.
Knowledge of Domain Driven Design in a cloud-based, microservice architecture
Ability and desire to drive change through high-energy, can-do attitude; comfortable working in a high-performance, entrepreneurial, open-door environment
Must be an outstanding communicator and team player who demonstrates attention to detail, and who also understands how to ensure finance initiatives that support the long-term strategy of the business
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously
