"Primary Skill: Java

Role Description: The Application Sustainment Engineer would need to have at least 5 years of experience. For this role, you need to be a strong Java developer who has done development also in the past and has experience with Production support as well. Individual will be working in a production support role monitoring and troubleshooting multiple custom built Java applications hosted on AWS platform and On-Prem.

Resource is expected to work in shifts and at least twice in a week should be open to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Ticketing system would preferably be ServiceNow and as part of production support if you are aware of joining issue bridges and finding resolutions, would be ideal.

Required Experience and Skills:

- Requires 5 years of related experience in hands on application production support, ideal candidate would have prior programming/development background.

- Strong knowledge and experience in Java 8,Restful web services, spring batch, Apache Tomcat, SQL, RabbitMQ, GIT

- Experience supporting enterprise applications in AWS platform (AWS Certified prefered )

- Must be very hands on and ready to wear several hats - Technical Leader/Sr. Developer, L3 production Support.

- High level expertise in the implementation, support and troubleshooting of production environments.Solid debugging skills to troubleshoot functional and performance issues in the Java code.

- Responsible for support of a production application, including taking a root cause approach to problem solving

- Experience using ITSM tool for Incident/Problem Mgmt (like ServiceNow) and Application Performance monitoring tool like App Dynamics
