A Minneapolis area global leader is looking to a contract QA Analyst (Web Applications). We need individuals who work well in a team, can work independently and can keep up with fast-paced groups. You must be proficient in planning and executing tests – Azure DevOps experience desired. Good communication skills are also extremely important. The QA Analyst will be part of a team works on a custom-built web application. Experience working on home-grown custom-built web applications would be very helpful, testing will include web-based testing and data flows. This is a 6+month contract.
What Else Will You Do?
• Participate on agile team as QA member
• Review and clarify requirements/acceptance criteria
• Identify test scope using risk-based testing
• Create and execute test plans/scripts/scenarios
• Analyze data for inconsistencies
• Log and track defects through to resolution
• Provide estimates for test effort
• Assist in UAT testing phase
• Facilitate testing meetings, summarize results, issue/defect reporting, maintain metrics and provide go/no go recommendation
• Generate test data for short and long-term application needs
What Experience Should You Have?
• Minimum of 5 years of QA testing experience
• Experience testing custom built web applications
• Experience with managing test process through Azure DevOps
• Web testing experience (.NET) / Angular (important)
• MS SQL scripting, or similar testing background
• Extensive experience with data testing, verification, and analysis (important testing data flows)
• Experience in Scrum team as a QA resource
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail and process oriented
• Logical thinker and problem solver
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Strong collaboration skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Well-versed in testing methods
