1.            Experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security

2.            DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.

3.            Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills

4.            Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration.

5.            Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.

6.            Experience in Programming (Java or C#) and DB (Oracle, SQL Server).

7.            Experience administrating version control systems such as GitHub.  Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).

8.            Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies.

9.            Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies

10.          Strong problem solving skills, including providing simple solutions to complex situations.

11.          Must be a strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a geographically disperse working environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

1.            Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.

2.            Build, release and configuration management of production systems.

3.            Pre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products / services.

4.            System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.

5.            Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.

6.            Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.

7.            Ensuring critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions
