Description
The position will help provide support to the Division of Child Welfare and Community Services (CWCS) in the technology needs for the statewide Child Fatality Review and Prevention (CFRP) application used by OCFS for a centralized Child Fatality reporting. The application improves the timeliness of reporting, streamline the process for review teams, identification of recommended actions for practice improvement. The application data is sent daily to the data warehouse for use in Annual report creation and OCFS ad hoc reporting.
Duties
- Report Merging: Create the ability to merge reports if multiple fatalities occur within the same incident. This will reduce duplication of issuing multiple reports with much of the same information. For cases where an incident result in multiple fatalities, only one Child Fatality Report will be issued to represent all victims.
- CONNECTIONS Data Import: Maintain and Increase the amount of CONNECTIONS data that will automatically populate the system (example: CPS history)
- Publishing of Finalized Reports: Request to develop new screen. For users to determine if reports are to be published on a quarterly basis. Saving audit data for later review.
- SharePoint: the reporting process uses O365 SharePoint site. The site needs to interact with CFRP application verifying updates for supported and enhanced user experience.
- Application Enhancements: The application will need to be enhanced for environmental upgrades the database, new security software and the move to new servers. To meet the user’s needs, edits and issues must be addressed since migrating to home office report writers. Enhanced error handling and email notifications must be added to the application.

- Develops and implements applications and programs for the backend processing systems used in businesses and organizations.
- Experience (8+ Years)
Requirements
- 84 months experience developing N-Tier .net web applications
- 84 months experience developing applications utilizing .Net 4.0 or above.
- 72 months experience writing and developing Web Services or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
- 72 months experience with PL/SQL writing packages, XML type stored procedures and triggers.
- 72 months experience design & deployment of complex SQL objects and relational databases design.
- 48 months experience utilizing JQuery.
- 36 months experience with Team Foundation Server.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
