ETL development utilizing SSIS along with a high-level understanding of SQL development and coding is required.
Thorough understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing principles, approaches technologies, and architectures including the concepts, designs and usage of data warehouses,data marts, and operational data stores
Good understanding of RDBMS principles and hands-on experience on building database objects (Oracle, SQL Server)
Typical Duties
Builds ETL processes that will map data from source systems to target systems utilizing SSIS in an automated manner.
Responsible for all related extraction, transformation and load of data functions within IT.
Works with outside vendors to develop data transfer strategy both internally and externally for both new and existing systems.
Develops a secure model for data transfer design along with Database administration and to the security level required to keep all data secure.
Understands the relationships between business activities and application systems.
Able to determine and report the impact of database changes and ETL processes to the application systems
Keeps data secure by managing access, privileges and information migration.
Responsible for translating database design and diagnosing database performance issues
Ensures integrity of all physical database objects and established database procedures.
Develops, maintains and improves database stored procedures.
Implement and maintain backup/ recovery, restart/refresh and disaster recovery procedures.
