Responsibilities:

Participation in systems engineering duties for the Cloud Platforms Engineering Team, including management of existing and deploying new Linux (RHEL & CentOS) Server systems, provide overall support and automation of the Linux platform , including troubleshooting issues, backup restore, maintain documentation. 
 
Maintain CentOS Foreman infrastructure as well as assist with automation around Linux system configuration and software package creation using Puppet | Ansible | Python 
Contributor on a DevOps-oriented team to facilitate the provisioning of Customer Application Servers and continuous lifecycle of Linux Server-based applications running in a Hybrid Cloud infrastructure.  
Operate and Maintain our build, release pipeline , along with monitoring 
Work collaboratively with peers in the team, and perform cloud and cross-platform interoperability tasks.  Will handle escalations from the US and Geo Operations Teams. Participate in Tier 3 escalation issues. 
 
 
Basic Qualifications 
-B.S./B.A. in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.  
-5+ years in IT with Linux experience , specifically related to management of Linux systems hosted in a virtual environment or cloud platforms like Azure 
-3+ years maintaining Foreman or Satellite or other package/systems management infrastructure 
-3+ years developing scripts in Python, using Puppet and Ansible for Desired State Configuration  
-Experience supporting Linux  systems in a heterogenous environment with Windows, Mac and Linux clients 
-Experience creating and maintaining gold OS images for deployment in a virtual environment 
-Experience securing and patching Linux OS across Desktops and Servers, and Linux Applications/Services 
-Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones 
 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
-3+ Years in a Devops role with experience in configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Salt , experience in automation software like Jenkins and building various stage of the CI/CD pipeline including test automation. 
-5+ years in IT with Linux experience, 1+ years specifically in management of Linux Server systems hosted on Azure 
-3+ years developing scripts in Python and other automation technologies 
-Experience with cloud and hybrid compute architecture including VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Azure.
