REMOTE TILL COVID

The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and modeling existing business processes.  The Analyst works with business users to define business requirements, design software solutions and develops business specification artifacts for the enterprise.  By working closely with the highly skilled software development team, the Analyst is also responsible for business optimization and transformation.

 

Identifies potential impacts and / or gaps in terms of organization, business and processes between current customer situations, and the desired end-state of the software solution.

Anticipates and appropriately escalates on forthcoming issues and risks of the software solution.

Designs complex software products including the deployment of multiple versions/releases of a large product.

Authors design specifications and functional design documentation for the software development team.

Learn new business domains and software solutions to enable organized and structured GAP Analysis and/or Requirements Elicitation sessions

Effectively analyzes software solutions through structured testing to validate the application for business and technical requirements while guiding the improvement of the application.

Addresses software defect analysis, troubleshooting and resolution with team

Works collaboratively with business stakeholders and software development team, while driving software innovations and improvements to achieve business optimization

Prepares and presents concepts and vision, both written and verbal, to the software development team, management, and other internal and external stakeholders

Skills Requirements:

• Strong knowledge on agile software development methodology
• Ability to learn new domains and become an expert in the field
• Must be able to work across multiple projects, where necessary
• Strong computer and internet skills including all MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
• Ability to write SQL queries to interrogate data
• Proven experience in performing GAP Analysis
• Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for customer service
• Must be efficient with strong attention to detail
• Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrated professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information
• Strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem solving
• Proven ability to manage projects
• Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment and confidentiality with sensitive information
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to control scope and manage stakeholder expectations
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Technology
• Minimum 4 years of experience in deploying enterprise software solutions
• Experience utilizing software development design tools and processes such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Visio.  Solid Azure DevOps/TFS experience is strongly desired.
• IIBA Certification (CCBA/CBAP) is a bonus
