JOB DETAIL

  • Modify an existing C#.NET application written using the MVC 3 programming paradigm to meet WCAG 2.0 level A and AA guidelines
  • In most cases, minor user interface changes are expected to address accessibility (such as adding HTML tags, changing CSS, etc.)
  • May require redesign of some user interface features to address accessibility (such as rewriting Javascript or ASP.NET code)
  • Collaborate with project team members on user interface and accessibility requirements
  • Integrate application build process with agency’s DevOps system
  • Manage application code in agency’s source control system
  • Test code periodically to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessary
  • Upgrade application code (if necessary) to meet current agency infrastructure standards
  • Create documentation for user support
  • Provide knowledge transfer
  • Five (5) years’ recent experience in C#.NET application development with MVC3 programming paradigm
  • Two (2) engagements lasting more than six (6) months in C#.NET Developer/Programmer role
  • Six (6) months’ experience implementing digital accessibility in a web application to meet WCAG 2.0 level A and AA guidelines
  • Knowledge and experience with WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and guidelines
  • Web accessibility design and development experience
  • Proven experience as a programmer or relevant role
  • Development experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings
  • Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability
  • An analytical mindset and critical thinking
  • Demonstrable ability to discover and fix errors in code
