The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Shape testing methodology with an eye toward performance and scalability as you create automation test strategy, framework and test infrastructure.

Design and implementation of automation framework in collaboration with development and QA teams

Product and system testing, including testing of updates and new releases of the software.

Build test strategies, write and execute test plans, file defect reports, and communicate with the QA team about issues, risk, and product quality.

Update existing automated and manual tests and execute test cases for new requirements

Provide criteria to QA team for automated regression testing

Participate in deployment and user acceptance testing during releases

Working with Development teams during development to ensure testability of functions, data and applications.

Collaboration with the Development and Support teams to triage inbound bug reports and reproduce reported issues to ensure the effectiveness and quality of product.

Communication with Development team, QA team, and Management regarding testing metrics, analysis, and status.

Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospective meetings Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process.

Planning and execution of automated testing plans and scripts in accordance with schedule.

Full documentation of testing procedures and issues to ensure compliance with standards. Review and monitor escalated incidents and assist the team in achieving resolution as needed.

Work on special projects as assigned and report progress Research best practices regarding automated testing, test data collection and reporting. Create a framework to automate the KPI reporting related to overall testing, QA and software development initiatives

Make suggestions to management team for improvements in QA procedures, as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS or MS in Computer Science or similar applied technical field

Proven experience developing automated test systems and frameworks

At least 3-5 years of experience with automated testing and developing automated testing frameworks

Solid understanding of development processes and SDLC

Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and technical judgement

Team player mentality with a positive, collaborative attitude and approach to testing

Experience with testing databases, including changes

Deep knowledge of SQL, Web Technologies, .NET, scripting

Expert level knowledge of at least one or more programming languages like Python, JavaScript, C#, JAVA etc

Experience with developing and executing quality assurance test scripts and test plans. Demonstrable expertise in testing frameworks like Selenium, TestingWhiz, HPE UFT, TestComplete etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

To work independently and take ownership of tasks without external direction

Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with peers and management when required. Mobile test automation experience a plus (iOS, Android)
