• Certification in a Database Technology (MySQL preferred)
• Software development experience writing scripts, handling JSON files, optimizing metadata
• Experience exposing a database and API functionality using an API first mindset
• Proficiency in importing complex payloads (Excel, JSON, CSV) and building quality-input controls
• Database process efficiency and other methods to make an efficient and functional design
• Some experience in project management, project assurance, or quality assurance/control
• Experience connecting a DB back-end w/ a Web UI front-end that is dynamically driven (Angular)
• Appreciate any knowledge of Security and Compliance requirements (NIST, ISO, PCI, HIPAA, etc.)
• Ability to abstract database functionality into recursive AI/ML capabilities (especially via Extensible AI development) is highly desired, but not required
• Excellent communication skills (conversational and writing)
• Attention to detail
• Take existing Conceptual Designs and Logical Designs and build out the Tables / DB structure
Identify API functionality tied to queries/stored procedures; ensure DB supports automation
• Develop scripts based on security controls
• Develop scripts based on VMware Product Hardening Guides security controls
• Integrate API into JIRA to enable product teams to store configuration data and versioning
• Evaluate potential security controls for candidature for scripts and automation
• Maintain documentation of design and production information:
• Database Design and Structure (finalized)
• Database design decisions and evaluation/analysis of rationale used
• Database User Guide
• Scripts
• Stored Procedures
• API integration into the Database toolkit
• JSON File configuration
• Confluence page with engineering work performed and analysis
• Track progress in SCRUM tool (JIRA), sprints are 2 weeks long
