I have this opportunity for a long-term contract on-site in Houston, TX. The client is TCenergy. 

The candidate must live there or relocate there. Job is on-site ONLY, no negotiation. 

The emphasis is less on Powerbuilder than what I was led to believe in the beginning.
 

PowerBuilder can be 20- 30% , but I am also looking for skills with .Net, C#, C++ and SQL Server.

One of the other requirements is the willingness to participate in on-call rotation for a week once every 4-5 weeks for production support.

C#.Net SQL PowerBuilder Developer

Our client HQ in Houston, TX is seeking to contract to hire or direct hire an experienced developer with a background in the natural gas industry ideally. Work is on-site in Houston, TX The following skills would be required
• Full stack developer using Microsoft technologies.
• Should possess comprehensive SQL skills ( Stored procedures, functions etc.) and be able to perform quick data analysis and propose solutions
• Comprehensive hands-on experience on .Net, C# and C++ ( VS 2015), ASP.Net 3.5 + The following skills would be an asset
• Azure Tech Stack such as Azure Dev Ops and VSTS, GIT source control.
• Experience with EDI technologies. E.g. X12 MERCATOR
• Experience in PowerBuilder 2019.
• Experience with Commercial applications in Natural Gas industry.

Core Responsibilities: Deliver applications programming and analysis tasks as part of a system development process as well as provide application support, maintenance, and enhancements for our internal business partners.

Duties: Incumbent works independently and at the more advanced level can be moving towards specialization in own functional area.

Manage medium to moderately complex projects. May lead a workgroup or project team.

Develop and document software based on a defined set of design and performance requirements.

Adhere to processes defined by the Technical Lead and Solution Architect Provide estimates of work effort Proactively provide ideas to improve proposed solutions Actively participate in application design, database design, schema layout, and data loading.

Actively participate in code walkthroughs/inspections as per the software development process and Quality Management Plan Prepare sample data and unit test plans Troubleshoot and correct complex bugs or issues (including performance issues)

Develop and execute unit and integration tests as per the project plan Assist in the setup and execution of demonstrations as required.

Align all work effort with the project schedule/work plan.
