 Hands on development lead role working across Data Engineering and collaborating with Business, Data stewards, Data Architecture, Reporting and Operations teams.
• Actively participate in project handover from architect and stewardship teams to ensure full understanding of the initiative – goals, data models, transformation logic, technologies and platforms involved
• Contribute in high level solution designing , test planning and platform decisions.
• Partner with customer-facing peers to create and deliver on roadmaps. This includes participating in planning processes, defining a technical solution, establishing and implementing applications based on architecture direction
• Establish and evangelize best practices, frameworks and processes across data engineering
• Oversee technical strategy across data integration, data lake, data warehousing and data access layers
• Contribute to elimination of technical debts and improving operational efficiency
• Ensure high quality deliverables aligning to the development and data standards and best practices while constantly raising the bar
• Lead and manage the engagement with technical partners including offshore, consulting and technology partners
• Technical and architectural leadership in a team that consists of highly technical professionals.

Skills required:

• Hands on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools like Spark (PySpark and Scala), YARN, HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, understanding of systems performance data (collection, monitoring, analysis)
• Working experience on Database systems with strong SQL skills are required
• Expert Knowledge in Python/SPARK/EMR/Glue/RedShift technologies/ Kubernetes- Container based orchestration
• Cutting-edge expertise on cloud-based technologies supporting big data management, modern data pipelines, and integrated real-time analytics
