As a Database Administrator you'll be responsible for configuring, monitoring and improving PostgreSQL databases; query analysis to understand how teams are using the data; allocation of system storage and planning storage requirements; planning backup and recovery of database information and managing data replication.

Skills: PostgreSQL DBA with Oracle

Functional Area : IT 3-5 years' experience as a DBA of PostgreSQL in a 247 production environment including backup recovery, replication, high availability, designing and managing schema, monitoring diagnosing and optimizing database performance

- Having strong experience in Oracle is required.
- Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery and replication solutions and best practices
- Demonstrated experience implementing deploying database servers
- Expertise in writing SQL queries, analyzing query performance using query plans and tuning query performance
- Bachelor degree and 3+ plus years of relevant Database administration experience in a large datacenter environment
- Advanced knowledge of Database Administration on the MSSQL Server & PostgreSQL platforms operating within on premise & AWS installations.
- Advanced knowledge of Database operational monitoring & alerting for MSSQL Server & PostgreSQL.
- Advance knowledge of Backups, restores and recovery models.
- Advance knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices
- Critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to rapid project changes
