1. Solid experience with SQL Server Administration, Transact SQL, SQL Agent Jobs, Queues, Service Broker, etc.
2. Experience with SQL 2016/2017 is preferable
3. Should be able to write and understand highly complex Transact SQL code used in business logic inside SQL Agent jobs, procedures, functions and triggers.
4. Understand SQL Server indexing, SQL storage, resource management, memory consumption and dynamic management views
5. Should have experience with complex SQL Server projects involving multiple instances, Replication, Always On, High Availability
6. Interface with multiple application teams for their database needs
7. Support - Be part of 24X7 global support rotation
8. Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure IoT, Event Hubs, etc. is a plus
