- Work with our developers and business analysts to create and modify our database structure.
- Proactively monitor SQL Servers for performance, security, stability and recovery utilizing best practices.
- Perform database maintenance tasks, including backup/restores, update statistics, rebuild indexes, capacity management, etc.
- Develop, manage and maintain strong disaster recovery and high availability solutions.
- Plan an installation, migration and patching of database servers.
- Perform troubleshooting and optimization of the database environment.
- Manage the DBA support queue.
- Participate in our on-call support on a rotational basis.
- Strong scripting skills ( Powershell, VB, etc. )
- Tuning, capacity planning
- AWS, AZURE, GCP exposure is nice to have
