JOB DETAIL

Responsible for the user interface and functional design and implementation of applications across technologies and platforms. All development will be in .Net/C# and communications with these systems will be done via Web Services. Will work with business staff to gather business requirements for software development and functional design and provide solutions that meet project timelines on time and within budget. Requires excellent communications skills.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: B.S. Degree in computer science or related areas. Masters preferred.

Experience: Minimum three or more years of application experience with focus on business and persistence tier development. 3-5 years’ experience in .Net/C# development. Experience working with technical products and vendors.

Skills: Strong, hands-on experience with intermediate to large .Net/C# data service tier applications. Strong experience in using JavaScript for front end UI implementation (Angular, Knockout, etc.). Familiar with JSON, XML and similar technologies. Strong experience using MS SQL Server. Experience with Entity Framework required. 3+ years’ experience with Web Services and an Agile environment. Excellent communications skills required. Strong understanding and execution knowledge in all areas of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including project planning, requirements definition, analysis and design, programming, integration and testing, and project acceptance. Strong awareness of applicability and benefits/deficiencies using leading industry and technology trends, including SOA, Cloud computing, Open-source and architecture, and Agile management. Proficient in leading software development environments including .Net/C# and/or PHP/Python; Proficient in Web Services and configuration of WebSphere application server/APIs.

Nice to have:

Java/PHP/Python development experience

Knowledge and experience of architecture

Database design experience
