JOB DETAIL

  • Candidate can work remote until restriction is lifted. Need to collect the equipment in person from the office.
  • Manager will ONLY conduct onsite interviews, NO exceptions
  • Local candidates are HIGHLY preferred
  • This position will be a hybrid position, working onsite (as needed) and teleworking.

 

To provide project management oversight to ensure the coordination of all projects on time within budget and scope.  This position will oversee projects including technology development and maintenance, security, and cloud migration. This position will provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.  This position will also collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.

 

This position will be a hybrid position of in person (as needed) and teleworking.

 

Specific Tasks:

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle to ensure they are completed on time and within scope and budget
  • Define, document, and manage project scope, schedule and budget
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute standard project management artifacts (i.e. WBS, risk assessments, project charter, RACIs, communication plan, MS schedule, status reports, etc.)
  • Ensure applicable project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule throughout the project lifecycle
  • Align project deliverables and milestones with department’s strategy and objectives
  • Manage projects within the PMO framework, process, and structure
  • Manage state level projects within the larger VITA procurement and project management governance processes
  • Keep leadership and the PMO informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or results
  • Facilitate project conference calls, status meetings, planning sessions, and provide for meeting notes
  • Be a consultant to customers and communicate project status throughout the project lifecycle
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Manage project resources, overseeing day-to-day task execution
  • Utilizing system based project management applications, collaboration applications, and MS Office applications; Planview, SharePoint, MS Project, Google Meets, Teams, etc
