Summary of Position

We are looking for an Advanced specialist/data analyst to join its Digital Innovation team. This person will own all Tableau-based reporting and analytics, data blending using Alteryx for the entire organization. This person will be responsible for defining reporting and analytics requirements, designing intuitive, aesthetically pleasing dashboards, and sharing key insights with stakeholders. This person will also work closely with Celanese’s IT organization to support database development and automation. 

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Work with key stakeholders to define reporting and visualization requirements

·       Design, build, and test Tableau dashboards to meet business requirements

·       Collaborate with IT to support database development/automation and data preparation

·       Support end user training of developed dashboards and support end users post go-live

·       Perform ad-hoc reporting and analytics to address pressing business issues

·       Attend business performance review meetings to help stakeholders explore data and uncover insights

·       Manage all Tableau dashboards and conduct periodic enhancements as required

·      Ability to extract, transform and load to standardize and harmonize data

 

Required Skills:

·       Mastery of Tableau dashboard design and build (3 – 5 years relevant professional experience required)

·       Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and query development

·       Deep understanding of user-centric design principles (e.g. persona definition, journey mapping, rapid prototyping, etc.)

·       Experience with Cloud Data warehouse like Snowflake or similar with data architecture, design, analytics and deployment

·       Familiarity with SAP ERP,SAP BW, SFDC, Files etc. data sources

·       Experience with developing dashboards for reporting and analytics use cases

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Proficient with data exploration and preparation in Alteryx

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

·       Experience with the Microsoft Azure suite of products

·       Experience in database automation and ETL script development

 

Required Education & Certifications:

·       B.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field

·       Tableau Desktop Certified Associate/Professional preferred

·       Alteryx Designer Certified Associate/Professional preferred
