- Implement web services that interface with relational and non-relational data stores
- Implement best practices in testing, code quality, reliability, monitoring, and security
- Implement cloud services using AWS and Terraform
- Provide subject-matter expertise on data stores, web services, and APIs
- Coordinate with front-end engineers to optimize web services design
- Collaborate with a team of engineers, UX designers, product managers, and customers to refine and build products
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field such as information systems, mathematics, or computer science or equivalent work experience. Consideration given to equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a professional software engineer
3. Solid understanding of object-oriented, functional, and asynchronous programming
4. Experience with Python, Django, Celery, and RESTful api development
5. Experience with relational databases, ElasticSearch, Redis and ETL processes. Message queues and GraphQL experience desirable.
6. Experience with AWS cloud services, esp. ECS, S3, Tasks, and Lambda. Terraform experience desirable.
7. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development cycles, Git source control, and Jira task management
