This role will focus on the role of Search Relevancy and Digital Merchandising experiences to drive the customers shopping journey, and will have high visibility impact across the Digital Organization. We are seeking a Product Manager who is passionate about how search/filtering and category merchandising produce a best in class customer experience and enable efficient business processes. This Product Manger is connected to many forward thinking individuals across the digital space and is critical to the effectiveness of our digital shopping experience and will be be critical to understanding how our site managemement tools need to evolve to deliver new brands, lines of businesses and new customer experiences. A successful candidate will have a data driven decision making approach, a test-and-learn mentality, knows how to leverage cross-functional relationships, and an ability influence others to deliver MVP functionality that enables key busness objectives quickly. Search Relevancy and Customer Experience are critical for the delivery of multiple customer facing features/experiences and the Product Manager Role is key to delivering value across the customer experience. As the owner for Search Relevancy and Customer Experience on a retail website there is the opportunity to drive and influence cross-functional teams both within JCPenney and among our many vendors and external partners to create efficiencies and increase effectiveness of site merchandising strategies.
**Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities include:**
Help create a strategic roadmap and drive requirements through partnerships with business & technology teams
Partner with external software providers to assess capabilities and align solutions to JCPenney’s needs.
Support day-to-day relationships with external software providers that support the jcpenney.com capabilities and provide components in our customer experience.
Continually monitor industry trends and identify new digital opportunities to fill product gaps that drive growth
Monitor product for all defined KPI’s to ensure best in class customer experience as part of daily responsibilities
Product functionality prioritization, roadmap development and backlog grooming based on business goals
Completes opportunity assessments with both defined problem statements as well as areas of uncertainty and recommends solutions to improve site operations processes and customer experience.
Support development of benefit models & define financial business cases for new enhancements based on metrics for success and alignment to strategic goals.
Define business requirements and organize into epics/features, and plan delivery roadmap anchoring to release milestones.
Work across teams and projects to synchronize and manage cross-functional deliverables
Proactively identify issues and partner with key business leaders at senior levels to drive resolution/prioritize improvements.
Identify and develop best practices across operational teams to maintain the integrity of the customer experience
Represent the business team in all aspects of the product life cycle
Supports development of operational blueprints and training for stakeholders and documentation.
Negotiate and resolve problems and escalate to leadership as required
Act as a product evangelist to build awareness of the product and partner on go-to-market strategies for new features.

Passion for working in a fast pace agile digital environment is a must!
Retail ecommerce experience required
Relevant product management experience with proven track record of delivering successful customer facing site features and improvements to back end systems.
Excellent analytical skills with an understanding of KPI’s and retail financial models
Ability to drive a practical MVP solution and roadmap incremental improvements
Superior relationship building with cross-functional teams to deliver results through excellent partnership, communication and negotiating skills.
Experience developing and delivering end user training and documentation for newly released site management capabilities.
High level of attention to detail with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment to meet critical deadlines
Highly motivated to be self-sufficient and able to operate without close supervision
