JOB DETAIL

The Scrum Master is responsible for the effective collaboration, facilitation, and leadership of an agile team to meet strategic goals. The Scrum Master facilitates the movement of work throughout the team and mentors others on agile methodology, supporting continuous improvement. This role will provide training to the cross-functional team on different process improvements and Agile best practices.

• Certified SCRUM and or SAFe practitioner

• Agile software development methodologies, tools, and practices (3+ years).

• Experience implementing Agile software development methodologies, values, and practices.

• Experience as a dedicated Scrum Master (2+ years).

• Product / project or technical team leadership within a software development environment (3+ years).

• Strong knowledge of Jira and the ability to utilize Jira reporting to evaluate team performance

• Outstanding communication, facilitation, organization, and coaching skills.

• Proficiency with enterprise and agile project management tools.

• Proactively problem-solve and multitask while maintaining composure and attention to detail.

• Follow-through mindset to uphold a ‘close the loop’ culture.

• A positive approach to serving customers and providing exceptional customer service.

• Ability to demonstrate good judgment, high ethics, and project a professional image.

• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

• The drive to identify and seize opportunities for continuous improvement as business needs change.

• Excellent organization, flexibility and time management skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

 

Essential Job Functions:

1. Assist the team in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical requirements.

2. Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement for multiple teams.

3. Define and refine agile metrics to identify and measure progress in the maturity of agile processes within the team.

4. Collaborate with the Product team to proactively identify and remove roadblocks for development.

5. Work with the Product Owner to keep work backlog healthy and prepare for execution.

6. Improve project efficiency by promoting and influencing the user of automated builds and continuous integration techniques.

7. Assist the team in developing clear user stories and facilitate team discussion on acceptance criteria, definition of ready and definition of done.

8. Coach, mentor and provide guidance to the team on Agile processes and ceremonies.

9. Stay current on technological landscape and emerging methodologies.
