Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

Work with business stakeholders to develop & design systems that leverage distributed computing and storage

Optimize and support existing systems as it aims to become highly automated and robust.

Identify major areas of systems improvement and drive results, by being able to quickly translate new ideas into solid implementations

Write automated tests to ensure the reliability features

Deploy cloud-based application

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or STEM degree, Master's Degree Preferred

8+ years of experience with Information Technology. Intellectually curious, passionate, and inventive

Advanced proficiency in Python (Preferred experience in Ruby, Node.js, Go, Java, and/or PHP)

Knowledge in Python application framework (Flask or Django)

Experience with modern database and storage (MySQL, NoSQL)

Experience creating and developing RESTful APIs

Experience iterating with git / modern version control

Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design

Good knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC

Self-Starter, motivated and proactive with strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple efforts

Prior experience designing, programming or coordinating application changes

Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels

Knowledgeable in Cloud Technologies and related services

Problem-solving; ability to break complex issues into manageable pieces and function successfully in a high-pressure, quick-turnaround environment

Demonstrated accountability & execution fulfillment

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Change Acceleration – demonstrated use of change acceleration in across new processes and controls
