This is not an entry-level position.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Applications.
For Jr - Minimum 3+ years of relevant SAP Business Objects BI 4+ experience with some Data Warehousing and/or Database Tuning experience preferred
For Sr - Minimum 5+ years of relevant SAP Business Objects BI 4+ experience with some Data Warehousing and/or Database Tuning experience preferred
Skills Required:
Experience with Universe Design and development (Universe Designer, IDT).
Expert Level knowledge of BO Report Design and Development (Web Intelligence, Infoview, Crystal Reports, Dashboards) using SAP Business Objects BI 4.3+.
Strong ability to analyze existing reports and improve performance.
Solid understanding of SAP Business Objects BI 4.3+ product installation, architecture and security including administration, configuration, and migrations (from BI 4.1+).
Core understanding of Business Objects architecture, security framework and content management.
Self-driven and should be able to troubleshoot and provide quick resolutions to server related issues.
Strong working knowledge of relational database structure, theories, principles, and practices (Sybase; Oracle; SQL Server). Very well versed with PL/SQL Stored Procedures, Triggers, Complex Queries, Sub Queries etc.
Understanding of Query Performance Tuning.
Experience with unit testing of BO Reports and debugging data issues
Hands on management of reporting infrastructure.
Strong ability to analyze user requirements, make recommendations and implement solutions.
Experience in migrating content between various BI environments
Strong Practical experience using Scrum, Agile modelling, and adaptive software development.
Skills Desired:
“Financial Industry” experience is preferred
Business Objects certification is a plus
Experience with MS Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
Strong Analytical and Quantitative skills
Exposure to Data Modeling and Warehouse designs
Experience with ETL tools like IBM DataStage is a plus
OLAP tools experience desirable
