JOB DETAIL

  • 5-7 years of data architect experience working in the area of information technology programs and services demonstrating expertise in enterprise data management and related technologies.
  • Experience in data modeling using different approach like normalized ER model, star schema model, hybrid model, canonical, data vault, etc.
  • Experience working as a member of distributed data architecture teams
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), web services, enterprise data management, information security, applications development, and cloud-based architectures with federal clients.
  • Experience with enterprise data management technologies, including database platforms, ETL tools, and SQL.
  • Understanding of information systems and data life-cycle management best practices and methodologies, formal systems engineering life cycle (SELC), and systems development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Manufacturing domain experience is a must
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology and concepts.

Desired skills

  • Experience on working with any open source or leading data modeling tool like: Power Designer, Erwin, ER Studio, etc.
  • Exposure to AWS Cloud Infrastructure & services, familiarity with bigdata echo system (Hadoop), etc.
  • Experience with one or more RDBMS/Data Base Management System like: Oracle/SQL Server/Teradata/Redshift
  • Good communication skills and customer relationship skills
  • Knowledge of configuration management and version control processes

Nice to Have, but not essential

  • Exposure in any of the Industry Reference Model like ADRM, Teradata LDM, etc.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake cloud data warehouse system/architecture
  • Familiarity with DMBOK (Data Management Body of Knowledge) best practice and framework
