JOB DETAIL

Assure effective Project Communications to keep Management, Stakeholders and PMO informed regarding the progress of assigned projects. Assure that the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) deliverables such as the technical specifications or design solutions developed by the technical staff (engineers) is understood and accepted by the concerned stakeholders and business partners. Assure compliance according to project management established guidelines and processes (i.e. scope management, approaches, stakeholder analysis, communication plans, schedules, resource plans, budgets, risk register, issues log, acceptance criteria etc.).

Responsible for: Ensuring effective project oversight and control and directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately; for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers; for cross-team coordination of projects implementation activities, for facilitating regular meetings with projects teams, including weekly reviews of “project execution status” in order to assess and monitor their progress and project delivery; for facilitating progress review meetings with project related IT vendors and perform vendor relationship management, for providing support in identifying and investigating project delays and recommend resolutions to rectify issues promptly and make every effort to ensure a reasonable recovery; for Identifying projects’ risk factors, identifying appropriate mitigation plans, and escalating to Sponsor any unresolved risks and issues when required, in order to implement risk avoidance measures and risk mitigation plans for the various stages of the projects; for monitoring projects financial performance in a timely manner (Actuals versus Budgets) in order to flag and highlight risks, and possible budget overruns; for reviewing and monitoring key project deliverables in preparation for project governance and quality review meetings; and for preparing and monitoring Project Issues Logs, Risk Registers and Mitigation Response Plans.

 

Project Management Reports

Responsible for overall coordination of weekly status review meetings and status reporting; for the preparation of project management reports to provide timely feedback to concerned stakeholders on the progress and performance of the assigned projects; and for reporting on a regular basis to Project Sponsor, PMO and Key Project Stakeholders on the project performance, challenges, issues faced, and mitigations taken, to keep them informed and updated on the activities performed.

Collaboration

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to Project Management in order to

facilitate flow of information and to build awareness.

Communicate and bring potential problems to stakeholder’s attention and identify possible solutions prior to issues emerging or causing difficulty. Implement stakeholder satisfaction feedback to ensure provision of quality services. Get first-hand stakeholder information and use it for improvements in products and services. Take time to question and understand the real, underlying needs of stakeholders, beyond those initially expressed. Always works closely with stakeholders, developing an independent view of their needs and acting in their long-term interest. Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.

Solid experience with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is required.

Solid experience with (PMIS) Project Management Information Systems.

5+ years of IT Project Management work experience. Experience with BI Solutions implementation.
